Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus – Most Charitable Celebrity 2012



DoSomething.org released its annual list of “Celebs Gone Good,” which names the top 20 stars who were the most charitable of the year.
Taylor Swift won the nod because she donated $4 million to the Country Hall of Fame museum. The non-profit also recognized her for being the youngest recipient of the Ripple of Hope Award, which she received at the Robert F. Kennedy Center earlier this month. She also work for young people battling cancer among many others.
Miley Cyrus was recognised for her work with non-profit animal activist group Saving Spot! Rescue. The organisation finds homes for dogs in kill shelters. Miley has also worked with Save The Music Foundation, the Starkey Hearing Foundation and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Channing Tatum helped raise millions for the Rainforest Foundation. He also support Angels for Animals and sponsor abused farm animals through Gentle Barn.
Lady Gaga started her Born This Way Foundation, which combats bullying and promotes acceptance of the LGBT community. In the wake of Hurricane Sandy, the she pledged $1 million to relief efforts.
Justin Bieber rounded out the top five, honored for his work with Pencils of Promise and his Believe Charity Drive.
