Canadian gymnast Dominique Pegg asked Justin Bieber to wish her, and her teammates, good luck in Sunday’s team gymnastics qualifying in the Olympic Games – London 2012
“K @justinbieber I will be competing in the Olympics in a few hours now. I think its time that you say goodluck!” tweeted the 18-year-old athlete.
Justin didn’t respond before the event, but congratulated Dominique after her team qualified for the final — a Canadian first.
“@domiP3gg sorry im late 2 the party. want to let you know as a proud canadian Im always supporting you and proud of you. STAND UP CANADA! ,” Justin tweeted.
“@justinbieber OMG thank you so much for tweeting me!! Thank you for teaching me to never give up on my dreams! #lookatusnow! #believe!” Dominique replied.
Dominique Pegg wasn’t the first Canadian Olympian to look for some love from the Biebs. Stratford swimmer Julia Wilkinson made a similar request before Sunday’s 100-metre backstroke heats, where she finished ninth, but never heard from Justin.
